AGREEMENT
Transcription
Riches is solely owned and operated by Bellah Business
Support Services. You
should carefully read the Terms of Use
and this payment schedule before signing up as a
member.
PAYMENTS
The
following will be the procedures to be followed concerning payments of
product and
membership.
Membership
Fees
As a member of Transcription
Riches you will be assessed the amount of your membership
level
every 30 days through the payment vehicle you have provided. Your
Membership Fee is
for membership and other products provided
as a part of the membership only and is not for
Work Product.
Work Product is defined as any other services we provide such as, but
is not
limited to, transcription services, editing,
consultation, formatting, marketing, etc. The terms of
service
and payments for Work Product will be quoted at the time of entering
into those
agreements.
Payment
For Transcription And Other Services
Payments
For Transcription:
Since we know the
length of your audio, we will invoice you when we receive the audio.
Unless
other arrangements are made, we will deliver the transcripts when
we
receive payment. We accept payments through PayPal or checks, or other
terms upon mutual
agreement. Individual payment arrangements
may be made so that Work Product will be
forwarded as soon as
finished.
Turnaround
times for Transcriptions:
Every
attempt will be made to return all product within 3-5 business days.
Usually
our turnaround time is even shorter than that. Every effort possible
will
be made to meet this standard, including engaging the services of other
transcriptionists, if
needed, to meet a deadline. If, due to
staffing or work load, we are unable to meet this standard,
we
will inform you and every effort will be made to accommodate your
needs.
Members
have priority status for turnaround time.
Large
Transcription Orders:
In general the
turnaround times quoted are good for transcription orders of up to 3
hours of audio.
If you have an extremely large order, then
add one additional day for each additional 2 hours of audio.
If
you require a quicker turnaround, arrangements can be made to use more
than one transcriptionist
on your project.
Example: You have 10
hours, classified as Level 1 audio. You should receive the first 4 hours
within
3 business days with the final transcript arriving by the 6th day. Upon
submission, you
can prioritize which audios to do first, so
that we can start with those. This is in keeping with
our
policy of having one transcriptionist per client. If you require a
faster turnaround, we would
be happy to accommodate by using
more than one transcriptionist on your project.
Advance payments may be required
for large transcription orders.
A large order
is defined as more than 5 hours delivered at a time.
Unless
other arrangements are made by mutual agreement, we require a 50%
deposit of the
estimated number of hours when we accept
theproduct.
A full invoice will be submitted at the time of
receiving the work, and the completed work will delivered
to
you when we receive full payment.
For our members, the
same transcriptionist will always be used for your work so that you will
have
consistency. If, due to illness, vacation, previous work assignment, or
other unforeseen
conflicts, this is not possible, a qualified
transcriptionist will be used with the same standards as
you
are accustomed to. Our aim is to establish a relationship with you so
that it will be as if you
have your own private
transcriptionist.
Turnaround times are counted from
after the day we receive them. If a turnaround time has a 3-
day
turnaround and we receive your product on Monday, you should not expect
your transcripts
until late Thursday or Friday.
Please
note, all non-rush turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees.
We deliver the vast
majority of our work within the stated
time frames, but sometimes it may be slightly longer or
slightly
shorter due to pre-existing workloads.
Levels
of recordings: (Pricing as of 3/01/2010)
Transcription
Riches reserves
the right to determine the level of recording.
Level 1: A
well-recorded audio. One or more persons talking, and only one person
talking at a
time; in the case of an interview, an interviewer
and another subject or subjects. This can be an
MP3 of a
webinar, teleseminar, presentation or dictation. Audio must be recorded
digitally. We
can take MP3, WAV, or almost any other format of
recording; we can download it from your
site; you can send it
to us through our FTP site; you can have it delivered to us on a CD or
DVD.
While the majority of recordings are well recorded,
difficult to hear, background noise,
mumbling, or other
instances of hard-to-hear or understand dialogue, will throw the audio
into
one of the higher levels of recordings.
Rate:
Member -
$92.00 per audible hour
Non-member: $115.00 per audible hour
$1.53 per minute
$1.92 per minute
Level 2: An audio
that is not well recorded, any source that is not recorded digitally,
seminars
with Q&A where a microphone is not given to
the person asking the question, or slight
background noise
which does not interfere too much with the clarity of the speaker.
Rate:
Member -
$110.40 per audible hour
Non-member: $138.00 per audible hour
$1.84 per minute
$2.30 per minute
Level 3: Speakers
with heavy accents; audios with background noise such as wind,
restaurant
noise; groups where more than one person speaks at
a time; hard-to-understand speakers, such as
speakers who are
away from the microphone at a seminar or individuals who mumble;
requests
for time coding, video recordings; requests for all
participants to be identified by name for
groups.
Rate:
Member -
$132.00 per audible hour
Non-Member: $165.00 per audible hour
$2.20 per minute
$2.75 per minute
Level 4: Panel
discussions or focus groups.
Rate: Member - $158.40 per
audible hour Non-member:
$198.00 per audible hour
$2.64 per minute
$3.30
per minute
Some of the above may be considered bad
recordings, impossible for us to transcribe with our
accustomed
quality, and may be rejected as a bad audio. Transcription
Riches reserves the right
to reject any audio
determined too difficult to transcribe.
Note: While typing,
if there is a hard-to-understand word, we listen to it more than once at
various
speeds to try to ascertain what is said. Our quality control process
requires that all
audios are listened to twice. When we are
unable to ascertain what a word is, we will time stamp
it so
it can easily be found in the audio, and mark the area as
(**inaudible**).
We reserve the right to impose
higher level fees after we receive the audio and assess it.
Higher fees will never be imposed
without first consulting with the client.
Minimum
Charge:
If you submit an audio which
is less than 23 minutes, a minimum charge will be imposed.
For our members, our
minimum charge is $28.00. If you submit an audio which is shorter than
a
$28.00 charge based upon the hourly charge, we will charge you a
minimum of $28.00. If you
submit more than one short audio at
the same time, there will be no minimum charge, if the
combined
audios are 20 minutes or more, or if the combined project is on the
same audio.
For
non-members, our minimum charge is $35.00. If you submit
an audio which is shorter than
a $35.00 charge based upon the
hourly charge, we will charge you a minimum of $35.00 for that
audio.
Bad
Audio/Tape Charge:
If you submit a
product which we deem as a bad recording and impossible to transcribe,
if a member, we will
return the product to you at no additional charge.
If you are a non-member,
we will impose a $10.00 bad audio fee and return the product to you.
Audio
Cassette Pricing:
For audio cassette,
each side of the cassette is considered a separate tape
for
transcription purposes. Since we convert each audio cassette to
digital, an additional charge
of $10.00 per side will be
assessed for each side.
This
fee is for both members and non members.
The
charge will be based on the hourly rate as determined by the digital
time, i.e., if you submit a
30-minute tape, and the digital is
only 25 minutes, we would only charge for the 25 minutes, or
our
minimum charge if it falls within that range, plus the time to convert
it.
Rush
Transcription Order Fee:
It is standard for members of
Transcription Riches to be given priority status for return of their
product.
Sometimes you will have a
need to have a “rush” order. A “rush” order is defined as an order with
a 24-hour turnaround time.
As a member
of
Transcription Riches, your membership will include one
“rush” order per month
at no additional cost.
If
for staffing reasons or pre-existing orders we are unable to fulfill a
“rush” order, we will
put the highest priority on it that we
can.
More than one rush order per month will result in a
rush order fee of 40% being imposed.
For non-members, a
rush order fee of 80% will be imposed for all rush orders defined as an
order
with a 24-hour turnaround time.
Our rush order
cutoff time is 4:00 PM Los Angeles time.
